The staff were very friendly. This is a self-service experience, with things like the laundromat available and in general you just don't see a lot of stuff around except at the reception. We had a good stay overall, the bed was comfortable, showers were good etc.

I always come here when I visit kyoto . This place is so unique and the owner makes your stay so special. The staff is so friendly always wanting to help with travelling tips ! It is indeed perfect for its location …so close to Gion district . If you like to meet people …discuss some travelling experiences with fellow globetrotters ,have a warm welcoming stay and of course a fully served breakfast…well this the place !

What I loved is that I mentioned that I have a problem with my knee and they helped me in order to sleep in the dow bunk even e¿when was booked already,, so in that way they care about us as a guest. that is a extra plus from them.

So happy with this hostel! It was clean, comfy and great price! I liked the location, 20min away from the train station on foot. I stayed for 2 night in a female dorm and everything was above my expectations. Bathrooms were super clean, they also changed my towel! Which is something you don't usually find in hostels. I liked that it was quite and people were very respectful of each other, which helped me having great sleep. I absolutely recommend it to those of you who are looking for calm and relaxing vibe,maybe less social, but I value more my sleep..so, you choose.

This hostel is fantastic. The staff members are incredibly kind and helpful. The beds are large, there are many showers and bathrooms, the common area is beautifully designed (lots of wood, plants, books, day light) and overall the atmosphere is that of a true dynamic hostel where you can meet fellow travelers. Would definitely come again!
