Really easy and comfortable self-check-in and -out. The room (Nr. 04) was spacious and had a clean and well equipped ensuite bathroom. There’s a public space (lounge and kitchen) with all amenities necessary for eating in. It’s an old building structure but within everything is new and modern. Little downside: it’s not really soundproof. You need to walk and talk quietly, otherwise your neighbors won’t be amused. Nevertheless, it is located in a quiet area, there’s public parking spots just across the street. Shops and restaurants were in walking distance. It’s a really nice space and will be on our list if we manage to come back to Takamatsu.

The room was really beautiful, spacious and bright. The facilities were clean and modern and even the laundry machine was free to use (detergent 100¥). We had a very nice stay at Kotori and would love to come again.

Very Very clean and especially satisfied about women's own room. Cafe and lounge are all zone is big. Bedding and my little space was perfect to sleep :) I want to get small and silent electric fan.. It's good item at night. A kind man borrowed me 100 yen for clothes drying. Warm spot Warm guest.

Really great hostel. Clean and neat. Professional staff. Chilled atmosphere in the shared room. They provided a useful map of the area so I knew where I could get dinner / nearby onsen / supermarkets / bank etc. one of many thoughtful touches.

The house & the shared spaces are really nice. I enjoyed experiencing the space in a Japanese house without going broke. The staff was lovely & welcoming & the kitchen was big enough & had a lot of books about architecture.

Perfect place for a day trip to Naoshima, in easy walking distance to the port and to the train station. There is no staff at the property, so we made sure we had all the check in codes they send us beforehand. There is a tablet when you get through the main door where you need to check in, you can pick English and then it is quite easy, scanning passport and taking a photo. The room we had was very nice, we also got a key to a private toilet in the corridor and a private key to a bathroom downstairs. Check out again on the tablet and the keys need to be deposited in the letterbox outside.
