I’m so glad I booked Koalama! 🙏 The staff instantly made me feel welcome & taken care of. 💛 The vibe is so relaxed & friendly, close enough to everything but quiet at night with the sunset just behind. Despite there being no AC, each bed comes with its own personal fan so it was a comfortable sleeping temperature. There’s always drinking water available, free snorkels, showers / toilets always clean & the most gorgeous fluffy cat Snow to greet you at the start & end of the day. I extended my 3-night stay by another night here. Honestly, you could easily stay for at least a month. Tasha and Kirsten’s hospitality, the location being a paradise, the wooden house I stayed in, and its incredible comfort all made me feel right at home. The place has a plant-based kitchen, and they’re currently experimenting with new flavors. My favorite was the Scrambled Tofu Wrap! It was amazing—I practically licked my fingers. The bar’s cocktails are also excellent. You can watch the landscape from the bar through the sea and the trees! This is a perfect spot for vegan and vegetarian friends to stay at a very reasonable price while enjoying the peace of the island. There are also some small animal friends like cats and dogs around. In the evenings, there’s even a larger lizard buddy who walks along the upper beams of the bar, looking around. This place is truly wonderful—definitely visit!

Suzie and Matty are the kindest people I have ever met. I instantly felt at home. The beds were very comfortable with soft pillows. There is a ocean breeze , so I didnt use the fans half the time. Everything is perfect. The only thing that s the downsize is ya may have to leave .

Issan and his family are really great people and we had the best time in Lazy Bones. They supported us in everything we wanted to do . Really fair price, cozy bungalows , nice garden area to chill during the day and 2 min walk to the pier- best place to stay on mpay bay !!!!

I loved this property, was surprised by the remoteness of it from the road to begin with but wasn’t an issue! The facilites were basic but if that’s all you need then this place is perfect. Really lovely staff and such a friendly atmosphere. It’s also a walk within the beach and surrounding hostels. Incredible stay, would highly recommend.
