Big, modern rooms. Easy directions on how to access. Very clean and comfortable. 20min walk to Old Town which was okay.

Firt of all i would like to express my great thanks for Falla, who was that evening manager in Sally hostel in 3d floor. Without her my stay would never been so nice. She corrected all mistakes of receptionist in this hostel and helped me very much. Thank you dear Falla. Fantastic location. Right on the old square and only 10-15 minute walk from bus or train station which is ideal for day trips to Kemeri, Jurmala, Sigulda. Each bed has its own pod with reading light, 1 socket and a curtain. The staff were very friendly and check in procedure was clear. They are only at reception between 10-5 though but they can answer any questions via booking’s messenger service. They did this very quickly for me! Some reviewers complain about it being too noisy or loud. If you book a dorm that has “inner courtyard” view it’s quiet and doesn’t face the loud square! I stayed in a 10 bed en suite dorm and had a great sleep. Finally, the kitchen was always clean.

The reason I ended up here in the first place, was that they had an outdoor sitting area. Almost nobody has. Friendly English speaking staff checked me in. I had room 22, which had this leaning top floor roof thing, but the room was just so cute. They have packed the bunch inside this room, with a desk, drawers, shelves, mirror, hooks and a comfortable chair with a coffee table. Very practical room, suitable for longer stays. Spotless clean nice common bathrooms, just 2 rooms per bathroom. The kitchen was a bit small, but this is Riga. Many people don't cook themselves here. I really liked that each room had its own space for storing food. Also there was ample space in the fridges. The WiFi was excellent.

Location is the best, new hostel. Hosts really nice, trying to make you most welcome, I had safe place to leave my bike, they let to bring inside. Quite spacious, tidy new hostel in perfect location, also the price is really good and bonus is McDonald's just downstairs 😁
