Great location- right in front of lake and close to shops and bird sanctuary . Real Nz close by . Felt safe On site parking Good kitchen and communal area Rooms- can be bit cold but otherwise clean and comfortable, toilets clean. Sometimes the water doesn’t drain well after a shower but very minor issue I would definitely come back!

The combination of its central location, affordable rates, and clean, comfortable rooms makes it an excellent choice for both short and long stays. Great location with a view of the lake. A good deal of effort has gone into creating a nice, comfortable space and the staff were just lovely. This is a backpackers and the facilities were really of a good standard with plenty of choices in the type of accommodation and price you want to pay. Perfect for a couple of days!

Lovely private room at a backpackers hostel right by the lakefront in Te Anau. The room was clean and comfortable, and the shared kitchen was convenient for preparing food. Walking distance to the main street restaurants, tours etc.

The backpackers is 90% of the way though being refurbished, and it’s looking great - much better than we were expecting. Comfortable bed, good facilities (kitchens, bbq, covered tables, etc). Tidy and well kept. Pleasant staff. Great location.

We had a lovely stay. As a backpacker / hostel style place we were really pleasantly surprised by how lovely our private double room was - it felt like an upscale hotel room! We had a fantastic view of the lake whilst the room itself was incredibly spacious. It's also a great location, right in the centre and within easy walking distance of all the town's amenities.
