Australiathank you for a lovely stay here, best hostel I ever went to! The kitchen was well-equipped, there's also a nice terrace and lounge. The atmosphere of the place as well as the people were also quite nice. Ian was sympathetic, chill open and accommodating!

Sandra has gone above and beyond to make the lodge feel homely. This includes her approach to helping guests with activity bookings and generally chatting to people to help them feel welcome. He gave us tips for the Tongariro Crossing and also picked us up after the hike. He really cared about making sure all of his guests got back safely from the hike. Ian has some regular guests and the atmosphere is much more personal than other hostels. We had an en suite double room - very comfortable and clean. Perfect base for our hike on the Tongariro Alpine crossing.
