Indira and her father are super kind hosts. Indira even drove me to the bus terminal in Esposende on the day of my departure. The hostel is quite new, located in a quiet area and comprises a garden where you can enjoy the meals. The double room I booked was nice and clean, the bed comfortable. The wonderful sand beach can be reached on foot in about 20 minutes. All in all a hostel I can really recommend Hostel do Alto Fao.

Very fancy, you feel like in the hotel! The breakfast was lovely, fresh and the orange juice is to die for! the view from the balcony amazing (ocean view), the sunset like a cherry on top.

it was right in the middle of the town and easy to find. We had to share a bathroom, but it was cheap.

The manager and staff were courteous and encouraging and a delight after a long hot walking day. Beers were €1 and chilled in the fridge. Room was comfortable and nicely furnished. Bathroom good too. Breezy garden area to chill while clothes get washed. Best guard dog too in Rina. Special mention to Lita and friend who immediately came to the rescue of a member of the group who was struggling the last 5 km due to a hip problem. One phonecall and they were there like a shot. Kudos Lita and friend.

I had a great time during my 4-day stay. All the other guests stayed only for one night - as a rest stop for the El Camino - but the place also works well for a Kitesurfing vacation as it is located 15 to 25 minutes (by car) away from two popular kite spots. Great to have a kitchen. Fast Internet (thanks to Mariana for letting me use a quite office for a long meeting). I've never seen a cleaner hostel (thanks to Mariana's mum and the other guests). Highly recommended.

I really liked the cleanliness which was impeccable. The house is newly renovated and perfectly equipped both in the kitchen and in the bathrooms or in the washing and drying room. I now wonder if staying in such luxury and comfort was a sin for a piligrim. Do buy your food in the store in the train station and take the tram up the hill.
