The hostel furniture was brand new. Big bathrooms with large and modern showers. There was also a big washing machine where you could wash your clothes for just 40NTD (laundry soap included). The staff was extremely nice; even though English was not their strength, they were always available to help us and meet our needs. They offered us free snacks throughout the stay, which was very much appreciated. The location is ok, you have everything you need just a few minutes of walk away.

I was solo traveler with my bike. The owner also good cyclist, and gave me some local info likes warning point on the road. You can keep your bike on their lobby with the bike stand. The hotel is front of sight seeing point, and close to walk to the restaurants and conveniences stores. (So the hotel is Not noisy outside). I strongly recommend this hotel.

A true gem in Hualien! Small hostel but with a big character made by the female owner, her sister and rest of the family & friends. Beautiful decor and facilities are great. Nice cafe running during the day at the reception; plenty of great food/breakfast options nearby and the train station walking distance! I also loved the fact that a bike rental place is next door (Giant bike store;)) The dorms also had a good amount of separate space for each individual.

Everything. This was truly a "minshuku". The owner owns and lives there. It is not another commercial space rented out to build hostel. In terms of facilities, the room and bathroom were clean. The stairs were not an issue for me. The owner is very nice and welcoming. Overall, my favorite stay in Taiwan.

I can really recommend staying there. The staff was so friendly and helpful. The rooms were amazingly clean and it is only a short walk (~5min) from the train station in Hualien. There are a lot of convenience stores in the surrounding area and some food places as well. Perfect for a stay in Hualien!

    Best hostel I‘ve had yet in Taiwan. Comfortable beds, really clean facilities and a nice atmosphere. The cute cafe downstairs is totally worth the (a tiny bit) higher prices. I‘d even recommend that cafe to someone who‘s just visiting Hualien.

    Spacious room. Curtains for the lower beds. Cozy atmosphere. Few types of tea available for the guests for free of charge. IKEA sharks as parts of decoration (joking but it was cute). Comfy armchairs in the common area. In general it was the best hostel during our 2 weeks trip around the island. Very good value for money.

    Cozy little hostel with very nice and welcoming staff. The location in between the train station and city center makes it easy to get around. The price was absolutely fine, actually very cheap for the offered quality. Good common area downstairs.
