The wi-fi was very fast and the staff were friendly! The recent renovations did make the hostel into a cozy place, though there were some kinks in the process: the bathroom door in our dorm, for example, did not close all the way without slamming it into place. Overall, I really enjoyed my stay!

Great location, lots of privacy, kitchen area on every floor. Staff was around all the time and worked very hard to keep the place clean and make everyone happy. I’ll definitely come back!

I liked the location of the hotel. It's only around 3 minutes walk to the subway station. I also really liked the helpfulness of the staff! I went to New York for the first time as a solo female traveler. My departure for an international flight was in the early morning, so I was worried about getting a taxi during those hours. I talked to the staff, and they had contact with a driver that could take me to JFK. I am really thankful for that. I also had two big luggages with me, and the receptionist helped me bring them down since the hotel is on the second floor and there was no elevator.
