Attractively situated in the Brugse Poort-Rooigem district, this hostel offers a shared lounge. Facilities include a children's playground and free WiFi is available. Amazing value for the price. The bed was very comfortable and close to electric sockets. Lockers are available with sockets inside, so you can leave your electronic devices safe while charging. It's a huge place with terrace, bar, a big lounge, even a cinema roulette. There lounge is very colorful with graffiti, and it provides several games (table tennis, fussball, board games etc.). The kitchen is small, but clean and has everything you need. They encourage you to eat in the lounge or terrace. There is a very nice vibe. The staff was extremely friendly. I arrived late and they didn't make an issue of it. Instead, they kept the kitchen open longer for me to eat dinner. The staff even provided a box of vegetables to eat for free. Breakfast was also very good. I saw they also rent out bikes and canoes but I didn't use the service.

HI Brussels Generation Europe Hostel is located in Brussels within a 20-minute walk from the central Grand Place and Manneken Pis. Guests can benefit from free Wi-Fi access, a buffet restaurant and a bar, a garden terrace and free evening entertainment. Personally, I would give it a 8/10 for several reasons. First of all the reception team is very welcoming. Even though, that's a hostel, it felt like I was walking into a real hotel which really surprised me. Our room was quite big, with really comfortable beds but the thing that I loved the most was the bathroom; the shower was amazing: quite small but well-projected. Moreover, the intercontinental breakfast was absolutely delicious: a huge variety of food which I enjoyed eating. The last thing that surprised me that most of the hotel dont have, is that before entering the hostel you need to insert your card or ring the bell: this little aspect gave me a sense of total security. All in all, I am beyong satisfied with this facility that I would recommend it to all the people who are planning to spend some time here in Bruxelles.
