Since the building is located in the city center, it might be noisy at night if you're sleeping near the window. Overall, the room was good; it had a shared WC and a shower cabin. The cabin is a bit small, but manageable. There are lockers in the room for storing your belongings, but don’t forget to bring your own lock, as none are provided. The luggage storage area is the same place where the hostel keeps its own items, so it might not be very secure, but I found my belongings just as I had left them (it’s free)

From the historical building and incredible restoration work, the location, the staff, the attention to details and the desire to satisfy their client to the best ability, this hostel deserves its high rating, and more. I was completely swayed by the spacious rooms, comfortable beds, the lounge area AND the kitchen, bar and drink vending machine, incredibly affordable and spacious lockers, the views from the window and the overall energy in the building. I've met great people during my stay and would go as far as to recommend this over a hotel to stay over for a mini trip, whether alone or with friends.

Samantha at the reception welcomed me very well.

Location is great. It is on the outskirt of the city center but it's not that far. Close to the flixbus station too. The area feels more local than touristy which I liked. There's a nearby sandwich cafe called Breadfast which is popular with the locals and they do great baguette sandwiches kind of like Subway style. Supermarkets are nearby too. The hostel staff were very friendly and helpful. Clean kitchen, clean bathrooms, spacious rooms. It's quiet at night so I had a well-rested sleep here.

HI Brussels Generation Europe Hostel is located in Brussels within a 20-minute walk from the central Grand Place and Manneken Pis. Guests can benefit from free Wi-Fi access, a buffet restaurant and a bar, a garden terrace and free evening entertainment. Breakfast was delicious, location perfect. I will come back in the future for sure.
