Highly recommend a visit to Cumberland and this hostel, it was one of my trip highlights.

In the community place the fireplace and a wooden house style makes the places more attractive. The rooms and restrooms were very clean. The staff was helpful and communicative. I would visit the Guesthouse again.

All units in the hostel are fitted with a kettle. All rooms will provide guests with a microwave. Everything. I wasn't sure what I was getting for the affordable price. I opted for the bunk bedroom that I fortunately didn't need to share with anyone. I had access to everything from the washing machine to the kitchen and bathroom. I was only sharing with one other person who's residing in a spare room here. The host was a gem with goals of turning this into a wellness retreat. Had an amazing massage/healing treatment for an extra charge but it was so worth it. I think I'm one of the first visitors to her home and I can't recommend it enough. This isn't a hotel so if that's what you're looking for this isn't for you. It's a shared living arrangement in a large basement suite. Hostel style living. 4 minute drive to downtown comox, 4 minutes to tim hortons and McDonald's if that's your thing. Also only a 10 min drive to most beaches.

Towels are available for a deposit. One of the best hostels I’ve ever stayed at. The staff is incredibly friendly and attentive. The breakfast selection is great, and the dinner is super delicious. I would definitely stay at this hostel again.
