Very friendly family that runs the hotel/hostel. Because it was still low season we got a free upgrade to a better room which is always a nice surprise. The room was very comfortable and the location is fantastic. There is also a lovely little common area where you can watch TV and enjoy a free selection of teas.

Located in Engelberg, 500 metres from the Titlis Rotair Cable Car, Engelberg Youth Hostel features a buffet restaurant and a summer terrace. A ski school and the European Walking Tours Office are reachable within a 2-minute walk. Great location close to Titlis gondola. Hostel itself has parking, games/table tennis/outside area/balcony. Clean beds and washrooms, quiet in summer but well setup with breakfast and optional dinner. Really enjoyed my stay.

Located right on the shore of the scenic Eugenisee Lake, Pension St. Jakob is 800 metres from the centre of Engelberg and a 5-minute walk from the Engelberg Cable Car. All rooms have a balcony overlooking the mountains, and free WiFi is available. The room that was given was a Bigger room than the expected one. It was more spacious and comfortable. Me and my friends enjoyed the stay. The Location is near to the train station. The Breakfast was Excellent. Having stayed here before in 2017, I preferred to stay again. Special meal was cooked in 2017 on my Son's Birthday and on my request it was cooked again this time (It happened I was in Engelberg on same dates again)

Zurich Airport is 104 km away, and the property offers a paid airport shuttle service. Value stay in a very expensive country right off the train stop. Booked last minute and was greeted without problems and given instructions on where my room was. Lovely 2 bed room so we did not have to share a room with others. Only shared bathroom facilities down the hall, which is more than fine. A lovely dining area is available to purchase coffee and breakfast if you please.
