This is an enjoyable family environment. There is a place to hang clothes to air dry, and access to a washer and dryer for a reasonable cost. They can drive you to many locations near or far for great rates. The hostal is in a controlled community. There are good restaurants within a 10 minute walk. And downtown Alajuela is a 20 minute walk. Alajuela is a very safe community to walk and enjoy the restaurants, parks, shopping, etc. Buses to and from the airport are in Alajuela (20 minute walk) or they can drive you to/from the San Jose Airport, which is a 10 minute drive.
