The Coffee House

The rooms in the hostel are fitted with a coffee machine. Featuring a shared bathroom with a shower and a hairdryer, rooms at The Coffee House also boast free WiFi. The units will provide guests with a fridge. Owner was very friendly and happy to give advice on places to go and she made you feel very welcome. This was the best accommodation we stayed in on our week's holiday in Iceland, would definitely stay again on a return visit. The communal space was spacious despite there only being 3 bedrooms, the bedroom itself was small but clean. The kitchen although small was very well equipped. The washer/dryer in the bathroom was also a perk The photos don't do it justice, they make the communal area/kitchen look much smaller then what it was
Geysir Hestar

This Icelandic horse farm provides accommodation in Haukadalur Valley, 90 minutes’ drive from Reykjavik. Overlooking Geysir, it offers a guest lounge, garden and horse riding tours.

Comfortable room with its own bath and toilet. Great location close to many tourist spots. Close to restaurants and shopping. Comfy bed. The bathroom had a warm towel dryer, which was great as all my clothes got wet from hiking in the rain. Fridge in room. Water cooker and coffee and mugs in the room. Overall a good budget choice if you don't plan to spend time there during the day.

We have a room with two single beds, and two bunk beds. The beds are comfortable. It’s quite roomy and warm. The breakfast was quite nice with quite many choice of food from 7-10am. Few of the accommodations of similar price range include breakfast.

Location on the Golden Circle was perfect and we loved our view of the lake. The rooms are small and basic but clean and comfortable. I realized that I stayed here (in the same room!) 10 years ago when it was a youth hostel. There is a nice common area with a view of the lake, coffee and tea and a bar. The breakfast was nice (not included) and there is a lovely bistro a short walk away and a basic grocery next door. The bird life along and on the lake is wonderful - we heard lions calling in the evening. Fontana spa is nearby.

Fantastic hostel-like b&b in a great location on the Golden Circle! The room is small, but the common areas are very comfortable and have everything you could possibly need. Very friendly host as well! To top everything off, we saw the Northern lights from our bedroom window!! (see photo)

The hostel is in a great location. The coffee lounge area was good and we ate at the picnic benches outside as the weather was glorious. It’s cheap for Iceland and the place is basic. there were some lovely dogs and homemade Icelandic jumpers.

Great place, great location, very clean, nice hosters, super cute dog, close to Hrunalaug Hot Springs (lovely and cheap). Great breakfast. Super comfortable beds, very cosy room. We loved it !
