Location is perfect in downtown Akureyri, steps to the sea, Akureyrarkirkja and a very nice bookstore Penninn Eymundsson Akureyri for refreshment and reading. This hostel is very very neat and clean, with fully-equipped kitchen and laundry service. The water of shower is hot spring water which you can enjoy for free. Everyone there including staff and visitor is very nice , , polite and respectful to others. This is the best hotel I have ever had.

Super clean, very well equipped, quality furniture, available well equipped kitchen, free parking, close to major supermarkets and paradoxly - it was the cheapest accomodation in Iceland during my 7 day stay and at the same time the most luxurios out of all.

The staff was super friendly and let us know that there was a walk we could take down to the beach. This was one of the highlights of our trip as we saw whales and seals down at the beach and could walk to the famous rock. The hostel was very cozy and we were able to do laundry and also cook a meal.

The accommodation offers a shared kitchen, and luggage storage for guests. The staff and owner were so lovely. The kitchen upstairs is fully stocked and there is a nice seating area to have your meal. The showers seem quite new and have good water pressure. The rooms are cute and cozy. Very convenient location to catch the ferry to Grimsey.
