Beds were so soft and comfy! The bathrooms were clean and enough for all residents! Never had to wait for someone to get out! Exceptional stay for a great value! I was third time in this hostel - it is the best hostel in Iceland. The vicinity is wonderful with small lake and birds, you feel you are at the end of the world. You have clean rooms, large common room to eat something with well-equiped three kitchens. You can wash and dry your clothes (each 900 ISK). The hostel has got a big parking, many showers, good wifi. I love this place.
Fantastic quiet location short drive from Vik, Dyrholaey and Reynisfjara Black Sand Beach. I would give this hostel 5 stars! It doesn't look like a hostel at all. Beds in dormitory are big and comfortable, each with a curtain for privacy and blocking light. Nice kitchen, maybe could do with more cooking stoves. Showers and toilets are very modern and exceptionally clean!
Clean, well equipped, nice big room, excellent breakast selection, nice staff, great location - this was easily the best value and despite being cheaper the actual best hotel we stayed in our 4 night pre cruise road trip round southern Iceland
Good value/money. It was the cheapest option in that area Spacious parking, big dining area, 3 well equipped kitchens, 2 massive fridges. The room is small with a bunk bed, but for 2 people is just enough. There is a small table and 2 chairs. Sink (very big plus), towels and a hairdryer. A lot of bathrooms in a good shape.
Location on the Golden Circle was perfect and we loved our view of the lake. The rooms are small and basic but clean and comfortable. I realized that I stayed here (in the same room!) 10 years ago when it was a youth hostel. There is a nice common area with a view of the lake, coffee and tea and a bar. The breakfast was nice (not included) and there is a lovely bistro a short walk away and a basic grocery next door. The bird life along and on the lake is wonderful - we heard lions calling in the evening. Fontana spa is nearby.
I like the price! The cheapest room we booked in Iceland. The girl that greeted us was very friendly. It's like a mix of guest house and hostel. If you don't have much expectations you will be fine ☺️ Very nice beautiful farm location to have a short night rest. It has a kitchen, 2 shared bathrooms with hand soap, shower and big parking space outside. Easy access, check in. Room was warm. Clean sheets and towels. For a short budget friendly stay in a warm place, close to points of interest I do recommend it!
The hostel is in a great location. The coffee lounge area was good and we ate at the picnic benches outside as the weather was glorious. It’s cheap for Iceland and the place is basic. there were some lovely dogs and homemade Icelandic jumpers.
Best hostel I stayed in Iceland. Clean, friendly staff, great location, good amenities and comfy beds. Would recommend
Everything that you can need in hostel is there, plus it looks like it's brand new. It even smells nicely. The staff was very helpful and informative. That was the best hostel I stayed in Iceland and almost the cheapest one.
