You take your shoes off at reception and they provide slippers. This is a good idea, as the place is kept immaculately clean. Location is immediately next door to the train station, so very convenient, although not the most stylish part of town. For a great meal - find one of the two "Shashlyk" restaurants. There is a supermarket and money exchange withing walking. A Yandex taxi costs about $US1.50 to downtown, where you can see the Ural River. They even provided me a SIM card on arrival and a chocolate on departure!! :)
