Since the very beginning of my stay JP and his family made me feel like I was at home: from the breakfast every morning, free family dinners… I couldn’t ask for more!! I 100% recommend this hostel for those who aren’t looking for luxury, but for a place where you feel comfortable, are able to meet other travellers as well as the owners!

At The Jam Hostel Luang Prabang all rooms include air conditioning and a safety deposit box. Awesome youth hostel in a very convenient location in the city center. Supermarket and fruit stores 3 minutes walk. A large green area around the pool with sun loungers and additional cabins with showers and toilets. The pool is cleaned every day. Bar-cafe with pleasant music and convenient areas with power outlets. The beds are absolutely amazing. In fact, these are not beds in the usual sense, but large cells with a comfortable mattress. They do not move or creak and people do not interfere with each other with their movements. Inside there is a large shelf and an individual spacious safe, as well as a fan. Each room has its own shower and toilet. All is clear. Air conditioners are quiet. Overall it was a very enjoyable time. Well, I would like to express special thanks to the hotel staff for their honesty and responsiveness. I forgot the money in the opening safe box when leaving and only remembered 5 hours later, when I left for another city. They kindly kept them for me for 3 days until I returned. I thank you from the bottom of my heart and recommend this place!

Rooms include a patio with mountain views and free WiFi. This was up there in one of my favourite hostels. Great stay after arriving on the slow boat from Thailand to luang prabang. Fantastic common area overlooking the beautiful Mekong River, and in great location, walking distance to the night market. Social atmosphere without being a party hostel, or a nice place to relax in peace, depending what you want. Comfortable clean rooms and bathroom, and staff can organize waterfall trips and assist with transport to your next location. Great breakfast in the morning, and really nice that coffee and tea is provided.
