Almost every hotel we stayed at had only HOT or COLD water, nothing in between. This was literally the only place that actually had warm water which was amazing! The hammock was so comfy that came with the bed. There was a shared kitchen with pots and pans, refrigerator, coffee maker, etc. She even had free water which most places did not have any. They had AC too which was lovely. It was also only a block or two from the ferry, super nice when we had to leave in the morning.

Conveniently established in the animated city center of San Miguel, Hostel Auikyani is located at only one block away from the island ferry pier. The hostel provides shared rooms for 4 or 6 people but also private bedrooms for double occupancy with 24 hours air conditioning system, free hi-speed Wi-Fi and power plugs for each bed (shared bathrooms). The staff is kind and helps with anything you ask. Very clean hostel. Chill and quiet, but you also meet other travelers by spending time in the common area. Location is unbeatable.

We tried salsa dancing and a visit to a lesser known Cenote . Totally recommended. The hostel itself is very comfortable- we had a double room with shared kitchen and beautiful garden with a little pool . The location was great walking distance to a lively little park where it was easy to pick up street food , a few restaurants and a local bus colectivo to the beach . Here there are lots of boat trips to go fishing or snorkelling on the coral reef . Puerto Morelos is an ideal first or last stopping point for Cancun airport about 25 minutes away .
