Vegetarian, dairy-free and vegan options can also be requested. The personel is very friendly, funny and helpful. The whole hostel is nice and clean and my room had everything I needed. The location was really great for my needs and also close to everything that one might want to do. Even though I have not had the opportunity (as I was working) I do appreciate the free trips they organise. If ever coming back to Kathmandu, there is no other place I would stay.

This is a really great place to stay in in Kathmandu. It’s very central but quiet because it’s off any of the main roads. The garden is perfect to relax in. The staff is really friendly and helped us with absolutely everything - taxis, bus tickets, a tour of Bhaktapur and Patan and they also stored our bags during our Langtang Valley Trek. The prices they charged for busses and tours were very fair. The food here is also delicious! We tried a few cafes and restaurants in Thamel but the food in Birds Nest was at least as good! We stayed here 3 times during our time in Nepal and will happily stay here again next time!

The owners and staff are very welcoming, friendly and always willing to help with any needs. The social environment is great too, I met very nice people and made new friends. I loved the dal bhat, I'm missing it already! Would love to go back one day.
