The comfortable bed (should update the no-linen provided, as they all have it included now). Everything was really good and even though I stayed only one night I really enjoyed my time here. The other guests were really friendly too.

You can play billiards at the hostel. The staff were lovely and accommodating - the Villa had a lovely vibe that made everyone feel very comfortable. Would stay here again!!!

Sequoia Lodge Backpackers is a 10-minute walk from the EcoWorld Aquarium and Edwin Fox Maritime Museum. We had a double room with bathroom. Very comfortable. Great communal kitchen with plenty of room and a lovely outdoor area with couches. Close to ferry terminal. Plenty of parking around the square in front of the property.

The hostel has a garden and offers a sun terrace. Lawrelle, the Proprietress, and her family, we’re amazing!!! They treated all the guests as family and were very quick to resolve any minor issues that have arisen while I was there. the amazing family was good enough reason for me to go back next time around!!! Though the building is old, to me it’s beautiful - like all the old Victorian houses of it’s era, with the high ceiling, spacious living/dining room, a quiet nook, spacious kitchen, lots of bathrooms, and in my private & separate female dorm, we have our own bathroom, refrigerator & sets of wares & kettle!!! I like the private & detached female dorm - we all got along and most guests are on a 1-yr working holiday. Love it’s location - near the CBD and vineyards galore, since I love wines!!!! Everything is within walking distance, except most wineries, but one. Thanks a million Lawrelle and family for a wonderful stay!!!! I miss you all and all the other guests there I’ve come to know and see & interact everyday - the regulars.

Boasting a shared lounge and free WiFi, Tō Tātou Kainga is situated in Blenheim. Free private parking is available and the hostel also features free use of bicycles for guests who want to explore the surrounding area. Both the room itself and the shared facilities were clean, the bed was comfy, the location was good (walking distance from the bus/railway station and the city center) and communication with the hosts was great. self-Check in/out was very easy and convenient. I especially appreciated them letting me check in early!
