Cluj is 6.6 km away. It was very well in the middle of the city, which meant easy access to anything. It also meant no free parking places around downtown, and no warning about it. We managed eventually, with the help of friends, but warning would have been appreciated. Apart from that, everything was as advertised, and even better (generous bathroom, clean, high-end appliances, they managed to squeeze in a refrigerator, coffee maker and electric mug for tea, free change of towels). Excellent value for money, friendly staff, great location. Highly recommended.

Situated in a pedestrian area inside Cluj-Napoca's mediaeval city wall, Hostel Retro offers 24-hour reception, free bicycles, as well as a sauna for a surcharge. The bathrooms are either shared, located next to the rooms, or en-suite. The Hostel was really nice. It is clean, the location is more than perfect and the most important part, the Staff was AMAZING. I want to Share that they helped my friends and I regarding a really uncomfortable situation in another hostel of the city, giving us the chance to book last minute and with flexibility while we were solving and managing the situation in thee other place. They really take care of their guests something that didn't happen in the other hostel. Thank you team it was a really important support what you gave to us!
