The area is popular for cycling, and bike hire and car hire are available at the hostel. I had an excellent stay. From my arrival to my departure I was taken care of by the lovely owner. She was so friendly and helpful. I stayed in the dorm room which I was lucky to have all to myself as it was low season. The bed was very comfortable, clean and fresh. There are also privacy curtains. Something the pictures don't seem to show. I was able to rent a scooter there too at a very good price. The breakfast was exquisite including some lovely local treats, fruit, toast, eggs and tea and coffee. I cannot fault this place and the island. All so beautiful and the perfect escape from the hustle and bustle of the touristy spots of Thailand. Would highly recommend anyone to stay.

Everything in it was perfect; a big comfy bed, fridge, water, kettle and a TV with Netflix! Great shower too. It is in a lovely and quiet area of the island and with a bike, which I was able to rent directly from the hotel, I was able to explore close by restaurants and beaches. The owner picked me up from the pier when I arrived and checked me in swiftly with no issues. He also organized a ferry onward for me and was so kind to allow me to stay after check out in an airconditioned room while I waited to depart. Drove me to the pier too. The breakfast was also absolutely delicious and there was lots of it. I would highly recommend anyone to stay here.

Pom is one of the most inspiring people we’ve ever met — kind, artistic, and full of warmth. Her home-cooked meals were amazing (we even tasted her home-grown seaweed!), and her family made us feel right at home. Tucked away near the river, it’s quiet and surrounded by nature, yet easy to get around by scooter or local taxi. Kayaking through the mangroves was a highlight.
