At Catba Buffalo Hostel each room comes with air conditioning and a safety deposit box. It’s one of the best hostels I have ever stayed. Comfortable spacious room looks like a private apartment for 4 people, very clean and with a great view. Swimming pool is quite clean and with lounge music. I wish to stay longer and definitely I will come here again.

The receptionist Vu was absolutely amazing. He helped us organise a boat trip with kayaking and swimming, as well as recommending the nearby beach and a scenic route. We were only there for 2 days and 1 night and had to cut the second day short because of a storm warning. We would not have been able to maximise our time on Cat Ba without Vu! The hostel was also very comfortable, the loveliest staff at the downstairs restaurant, and would definitely recommend their mango smoothie, you will not regret it! There is also a rooftop bar with a great view of the harbour, where locals sometimes set off fireworks.
