After the second World War, Albania was wasolated from the communist regime and was not allowed information from other countries through TV or radio. Then the end of each Albanian was to leave the world, while now our wanders have become a reality because their world and their culture are meeting them every day by visitors. I am very happy to feel a proud of all those who visit Albania.

Property information

The house was built in 1898. Nothing has changed from the inside regarding the traditional structure of the doors and the closets. It has a position that puts it in the heart of the mangalem neighborhood. What is unique about this house from other houses is that it preserves the old local architecture today and has a well inside the house. During the Second World War the whole neighborhood was supplied with water from this house because the area was surrounded by Germans and the water was on time.

Neighbourhood information

The mangalem neighborhood is in the heart of the city of Berat. It borders the Osumi River and has a wonderful view. The houses in this neighborhood are built on rock and have very strong and thick walls made of sculptured stone. To build a house in the Mangalem neighborhood, the limestone had to be extinguished 40 years before it was too strong. It's called as one-on-one windows houses.
