The apartments of BARBARA RESIDENZ meeet people's sophisticated demands: Residing in the historic centre of town in one of the most beautiful ensembles of Eisenerz. Both apartments have been adapted with tender loving care and high aesthetic demands, integrating new and old elements. Guests enjoy quite a big space, lots of sun, a view to Erzberg and to the fortified Oswaldi church. BARBARA RESIDENZ attracts not only ambitious tourists and businesspeople, but also artists and other creatives who are looking for a quiet and cultivated place, be it for relaxing and slowing down or for undisturbed working. There is a coffee shop right underneath Barbara Residenz where guests can have breakfast. Guests who enjoy preparing their own meals find perfect kitchens in both apartments.
Hello, my name is Gil. I was born in Eisenerz, but I live in Graz (80 km distance), working as a free lancer in the cultural sector. Besides, I'm managing my family's property in Eisenerz, a beautiful historic monument from the 16th century that was revitalized by my grandmother in the 1970s. In order to make best use of a lovely space, we modernized one wing of the ensemble and furnished it with a mixture of antique elements and modern design: This was the beginning of BARBARA RESIDENZ with its Apartments CALLA and CLEMATIS and my start of being a host.
EISENERZ is a peculiar medieval town situated in the Styrian Alps, 700 meters above sea level. This is why it offers a pleasant, refreshing climate in summer, undisturbed nature and a variety of sporty challenges. It also offers valuable montanistic heritance with its unique Erzberg, an active mining place which looks like a pyramid.
