About this property

The Green House is one of the oldest recorded houses in Sankt Wolfgang. It has recently been renovated into luxury apartment suites holding onto a lot of its history and charm. The accommodation is equipped with a seating and dining area. There is also a kitchen, equipped with an oven. A refrigerator and coffee machine are also provided. Each unit is fitted with a private bathroom with a hairdryer. Bed linen is featured. Located in the heart of the old market streets, there are many restaurants and shops right on your door step as well as concerts and performances on the market square. The Green House is only 2-minute walk from the lake. Salzburg Airport is 31 km away. Hallstatt is reachable within 43 km. Breakfast is available at an additional cost at Paul Der Wirt. Prebook and pay directly at the Green House. Paul's breakfast from 08:00 – 11:00 at Paul Der Wirt. Breakfast by the lake with a wonderful organic breakfast for € 35.00 per person including daily changing breakfast specials, egg dishes of your choice and "Bieder & Maier " breakfast coffee. Fresh & regional, with a breathtaking panoramic view over the roofs of St. Wolfgang and Lake Wolfgang. One of our favorite places to eat by the lake. For food lovers and connoisseurs, Paul the Wirt is also a good choice for dinner. Open all year round, often with live music, a mix of tradition and modern ambience and just a few meters from the Green House.

the green house, was first recorded in 1416, so is one of the earliest recorded properties here in st wolfgang. we are situated right in the heart of the old town of st wolfgang. the house holds a lot of history and has many interesting features. during the renovation, we discovered a few things that we are more than happy to tell you about. we have tried to restore many of the original features of the house and discovered a child's shoe from the beginning of the 1900s as the house was home to a cobbler. we have also discovered that the cobbler use to make the shoes for the von trapp family and we have an original pair from mr von trapp. please ask us if you are interested in seeing them.
we are looking forward to welcoming you to stay in our house here in the very heart of the old town of st wolfgang. we are happy to share our tips about the best places to visit while you are here and let you know our favourite places to eat. if you have never visited this part of austria before, you are in for a treat!
being right in the centre of st wolfgang, there are many restaurants and cafes just on our door step. we are very lucky to have the village bakery just across the road from our house for fresh bread and pastries in the morning. the house is just around the corner from the church where there are many concerts, performances and festivals. the lake is only a few meters away and there are many places to take a dip, catch a ferry or hire an electric boat in the summer. during the advent period, there is a beautiful market here in st wolfgang, and the house is right in the heart of it. the streets are lined with wooden huts selling all sorts of delights. you can soak up the atmosphere whilst enjoying a gluwien - traditional hot wine or a warm fruit punch. there is a shop in the house selling homemade marmalade, jams, chutneys and oils and vinegars. everything is made here in the green house, in the shop. you are welcome to come in a taste a few things. the wine cellar in the house is also very interesting, and on a wednesday, there is a wine tasting, and on friday, the cellar is also open. please ask us more about this when you are booking and we can reserve you a place.
