Large renovated Qlder with private patio area beautiful bi-fold opening to private, quiet patio and lush tropical garden. TV/DVDs air-con & BBQ area. Fridge coffee tea & washing machine. Green hedge through coloured hopskotch windows and modern designer ensuite. Plenty of parking on the wide tree-lined Riding Rd out front. 2nd room avail on request Frequent visitors to the garden are Kookaburras, Blue-faced honeyeaters, Rainbow & Scaly breasted Lorikeets, Cockatoos, Friarbirds, Grey Butcherbirds and the ever present noisy miners. Often a visiting Spangled Drongo in winter will swoop and dive for meat from our deck.
Brian & Marie moved to Brisbane in 2009. We are passionate about our home renovation and the lush tropical garden which we planted from scratch in early 2010. Brian is an experienced Buteyko practitioner and runs courses in Breathing Retraining to overcome Asthma, sleep apnoea, snoring, nasal and panic conditions. He is keen on gardening native birds, AFL, and a voracious (audio) book consumer. We both enjoy bingeing on quality TV drama and film. Marie is a gifted painter and interior designer and her paintings and furnishings give the home its enhanced beauty and style. Marie has a passion and flare for architectural gardening and an attention to detail is something we are both proud of in the house and we love living in humid sub tropical Brisbane. We love entertaining in the indoor/outdoor lifestyle of BBQs fine food wine. and friends. We both enjoy showing off our house and garden.
The area is one of the best kept secrets in all Australia with the perfect winter climate, village lifestyle and access to Oxford St , Hawthorne Central, the mighty Brisbane River and beautiful parks and architecture. Locals from all over Brisbane flock to the area on weekends. Walk to famous vibrant, leafy urban village Oxford St Bulimba - dining, shopping and Cinema precinct. Also short walk to Hawthorne Central precinct with Hawthorne Garage Gourmet Deli & cafes restaurants, 2 Cineplex cinemas including the deluxe cinema. 7 coffee outlets on Riding Rd alone. 12 mins to CBD & Airport, very close to Gabba, Buses & rivercat. Warm 27 deg , Pool and gym just 2 km from the front door & there is usually a market around most weekends. Easy access to the Gateway motorway for trips north or south to the Gold Coast or Noosa, the Sunshine coast and hinterlands.
