    Great vibe in an historic home with ensuite in our room and great coffee in the morning, if offered a Barista made coffee in the morning say Yes, it's better than the cafe's in town. Hosts were great.

Hello! We look forward to welcoming you to Islay House, our histoirc property combining heritage with modern comforts. Immerse yourself in the rich atmosphere created by family heirlooms, period furniture, art works and sensitive interior design. Once an old hotel now full restored and rejuvenated Islay House is set in gracious gardens and offers comfy shared spaces, relaxing views, open fires, books, games, instruments and music - a place to truely relax and rejuvenate. Please be aware Red Room is on the first floor and is reached by a steep historic staircase. Mobility is required and we offer to take your luggage upstairs. We serve an continental breakfast in the dining room inluded in your stay. Located just five minutes walk from the heart of Woodend Islay House offers the perfect retreat blending charm, convenience and character.

Neighbourhood information

Woodend is a great small town. Cafes, bars, wineries, gin distillery, brewery, pub and a fine selection of restaurants enhance the main street. Fashion boutiques, homewares shops, antiques, galleries, a book shop and wonderful country scenery mean there is a gerat deal to so. Only 6 kilometres from the famous Hanging Rock and Mt Macedon the landscape is inspiring.
