Company information

Bungunyah's historic homestead circa 1800's is now owned privately and resides within the property remaining an integral part of Bungunyah's and Croydon's community heritage. The villa units are built on over an acre of beautiful gardens which ensures privacy and independence from other guests. The owners being Sean and Tracy de Klerk, take enormous pride in ensuring the villas are well maintained and spotlessly clean with beautiful gardens for all to enjoy despite taking a behind the scenes management position. Henriette Cooper - Bungunyah's manager oversees the day to day running of the guest relations and ensures guest's needs are met from the moment they contact Bungunyah until their departure. We are a friendly team who take pride in our work and endeavour to make Bungunyah Apartments 'the place to stay' in the eastern region of Melbourne.

Bungunyah Apartments are owned and operated by Sean and Tracy de Klerk, with Henriette Cooper being our Manager and Kellie, Lois and Chelsea being our cleaning team. Our vision is to provide self catered spacious home like villa units rather than the usual multi storey complex so often seen in the eastern region of Melbourne. This vision includes individual gardens, spotless and immaculately maintained villa units, well stocked with utensils and utilities just like home that provide distance and privacy from other guests ensuring a peaceful environment. Our mission is to maintain this high standard of service and to encourage our guests to contact us if they have particular needs or concerns.

Neighbourhood information

Located on over 1 acre of beautiful gardens situated well off the main road in Croydon. Croydon is an eastern suburb of Melbourne close to Ringwood, Lilydale, Kilsyth, Boronia and Bayswater within an easy 30 minute drive of the city. The cosmopolitan township of Croydon has multiple cafes, restaurants and boutique shops. Croydon station is on a direct line to Melbourne and takes approx 45 mins. Only 10 minutes to the Yarra Valley Wine district and the Dandenong Ranges where guests can enjoy the Puffing Billy Steam Train through Sherbrooke forest or get up close and personal with Koalas and Kangaroos at the Australian Fauna Park at Healesville Sanctuary.
