I purchased the church in March 2017 as an empty shell with the land a complete empty canvas. This was a perfect purchase for me with creating a respectful design renovations to the original church. Stage 1 of the renovations included my private residence in the original church hall at the back which was built in 1935, at the same time I renovated half of the original church built in 1895 into a 2 bedroom 2 bathroom accommodation and left the front of the church empty to decide how to best use the space. The BNB was very successful so I completed the second BNB at the front of the church in July 2019 having pushed creativity in design with Angel Place to make it unique.
My strong passion for art, design and food has shaped my life, with many years experience in hospitality owning restaurant & Hotel in Sydney and then becoming a commerical interior designer but through this busy life I always found time to produce art and continue now. I absolutely love hosting and try to greet guests so as I can share my local knowledge on best cafes, wineries, walks, waterfalls, galleries and shopping. I am very respectful of privacy with guests but am always available to make your stay memorable.
Robertson is the jewel and green heart of the highlands and the big spud, a small town with many artists as residents. With a general store, local fruit, veg and deli shop, Patisserie, butcher, organic bread,speciality sheep cheese shop, the cheese factory, Robbo pub and the famous Pizza in the Mist. The artist collective has just opened the SHAK with many artist / sculptures and workshops, working on site displaying their art. Moonacres organic cafe has won may awards including best Barrister in NSW for 2019 is also soon to open their cooking school at the SHAK. The tasteful highland beer is brewed in Robertson and a new whisky distillery Just down the road. Robertson is central to many historical villages, waterfalls and wineries and have no regrets every leaving Sydney.
