Property information

Tucked on the edge of the Forest and just a short 5 minute drive from Daylesford’s heart, Forest Edge Daylesford is a stunning country-style retreat that blends rustic charm with modern comfort. This near-new home (under five years old) offers a warm, welcoming escape with 3.5 beautifully appointed bedrooms, two elegant bathrooms, and a wraparound verandah that frames breathtaking forest views. Step inside to a spacious open-plan living and dining area designed for connection and comfort. Gather around the dining table for eight, sink into the leather sofa by the crackling wood fire, and toast the moment with a chilled glass of white or a vibrant Aperol Spritz. Just off the lounge, a cozy single bedroom offers a quiet nook for solo travellers or children. Down the hallway, discover two queen bedrooms and a luxurious master suite with a king bed, ensuite, and its own TV. Each room is thoughtfully styled with plush bedding and curated local artwork. The central bathroom invites relaxation with its deep soak bath. Outside, the property really steps it up—multiple alfresco entertaining zones invite long lunches, sunset drinks, or simply wandering into the forest for a moment of stillness. Forest Edge Daylesford is where nature meets nurture, and every stay feels like a breath of fresh air.

Neighbourhood information

The Daylesford-Hepburn Region is famous for its mineral waters and is known as the Spa Centre of Australia. Our beautiful scenery includes the famous Lake Daylesford, the Wombat Hill Botanic Gardens and the Wombat State Forest. There are historic buildings in the main street of Daylesford and the region’s history lies in the rush for gold. Lake Daylesford now covers land upon which gold was first discovered and offers lakeside picnic spots, cafes, walking tracks, fishing and pedal boating. The internationally known Lake House sits on its shores and there are public BBQ facilities and amenities adjacent to the main parking area. Lake Jubilee is located south of Daylesford (about a 10-15 minute drive) and is ideal for fishing, boating and swimming. If you are looking for a waterfall, visit Sailor’s Falls, less than 30 minutes south from the Daylesford Town Centre. If you are into the outdoors, Daylesford sits at the junction of three walking trails that are part of the Great Dividing Trail – the Lerderderg Track, the Dry Diggings Track and the Wallaby Track. The Hepburn Regional Park is a little less challenging and contains mineral springs and relics of the bygone gold era.
