You can even walk all the way into the city if you like (about 30min walk). North Adelaide is on the city fringe. It is leafy with plenty of stroll-worthy streets to explore. It has a lovely mixture of modern buildings set amongst heritage homes. Melbourne Street and O'Connell Street are the main activity areas of North Adelaide with plenty of cafes, pubs, specialty shops and coffee places within walking distance. On Melbourne St there is a wide range of quality foods from different cultures to sample during your stay (Chinese, Himalayan, Italian, Vietnamese, Mexican, Japanese, just to name a few) and if you are a dessert person, you are in luck as there are not 1, but 2 mouth-watering specialist dessert places to indulge in nearby: St Louis and Chocolatree - both within walking distance so you can walk off the calories after and enjoy it guilt-free!
