The house was stunning, so much character and history. Lots to learn about the place with the many books in the lounge about the area and the house. Tarni and Clive are very welcoming hosts who go above and beyond to make your stay comfortable....

Company information

We are loving the tree change that has brought us to Woodend to buy and renovate gorgeous Islay House. We have been 'on the tools' for 16 months and now enjoy sharing this fabulous house! We love meeting people and learning. Clive is a furniture maker, boat builder with a passion for motorcycle racing and I have taken a break from the hectic world of TV production. We have two dogs and love telling, hearing and sharing stories! Clive and I live at the rear of islay House in what would have been the old bakery. We are on hand for any questions or queries. You will have keyless access and come and go as you please. We encourage our guests to explore the town's restaurants, cafes, wine bars and shops and can arrange a hamper if desired. We enjoy a chat with our guests over a wine, over breakfast or passing in the garden. We are happy to share our stories and you choose how much time you would like to share with us. We offer to carry your bags as your rooms are upstairs.
