Sian and Peter West are Principals of Ocean Blue Coastal Retreats and discovered the Mornington Peninsula in 2004 when purchasing a holiday home as an investment. In 2006, Blue Moon Cottages was purchased and a group of four cottages formed the core of the business. Since then, more accommodation was added and we now have a portfolio of more than 40 properties. Their Mornington Peninsula knowledge comes from living on the peninsula since 2008, and working closely with Tourism Victoria and Mornington Peninsula Tourism has built an award-winning tourism business. They are both “hands on” in the business ensuring both guests and owners are provided with attention to detail at every level.

Property information

Longer stay discounts available for direct bookings. When we drive down the quiet country lane with the tree-lined driveway we know we have the most relaxing weekend waiting for us. As interiors addicts, we feel like we have walked into a magazine cover. What to look at first? The marvellous french inspired cast iron fireplace or the facing chesterfield sofas or the view in the background. We never want to leave. Walk the dog in the grounds and sit on the jetty in the dam and ponder the meaning of life while watching the fishes swim. The kids are completely engrossed in the playground, tennis court or basketball... so many things to do. Included is a bottle of sparkling wine and small local produce hamper. There is a security camera located on the roof of the pump shed by the water tanks (not active during your stay). IMPORTANT - Property is suitable for max of 8 adults plus additional children. PAWfect What fun! a new house to visit that lets four-legged friends like me sleep inside. A huge garden...but no fences. I will have to be on my best behaviour and not wander off. Love the trees and bushes, there are lots of interesting smells.

Neighbourhood information

The property is located right next door to Main Ridge Estate and across from Red Hill Cheese, two wonderful gourmet destinations that we don't even need to get in the car and drive to. The vines for Main Ridge Estate are in fact at the back door of this property. Located in the heart of Red Hill and within walking distance to the local village. You are centrally located to take advantage of the 60+ wineries in the area along with wonderful gourmet food producers, fruit orchards, the local Red Hill Market, Cafes and attractions such as Arthurs Seat Eagle and the Enchanted Adventure Garden which is only minutes away by car. The property is also only a short drive to the beaches of Safety Beach, Dromana and McCrae

Please note that there is a 1.7% charge when you pay with a Visa or MasterCard and 3.42% for American Express. A 50% deposit needs to be paid within 48 hours of booking, and the balance at least 30 days in advance of the arrival date via credit card into the secure guest portal we provide or via BPAY. We will also require your direct email address, a photo of you holding your photo ID and a list of guest names and ages to be uploaded into the guest portal before your booking can be confirmed. Guests will receive our full terms and conditions upon booking and payment of monies will constitute agreement to these terms and conditions.
