Wonderful guest house. Plenty of charm and history. From the creaky floorboards to the art on the walls, it all adds to the character. A varied breakfast. Exactly what you need from a little weekend escape in the Blue Mountains.

Host Information

9.5
Host review score
Built in 1902, Kurrara is one of the longest serving guest houses in the whole of the Blue Mountains. This turn of the century guest house has had many upgrades/improvements over the years, but retains its old soul and comfortable home-style feel.
Iain and Evelyn are music lovers from Sydney, who enjoyed their frequent trips to the Blue Mountains so much that they bought a guest house in 2012. Their commitment to restoring Kurrara to its heritage is reflected in our excellent guest reviews.
Katoomba is a bustling hub of arts and music, located just far enough from Sydney city that you can always feel relaxed. Nestled among the beautiful backdrop of the Blue Mountains National Park, minutes from the Jamison and Megalong Valley's Katoomba is best experienced over several days.
