Sian and Peter West are Principals of Ocean Blue Coastal Retreats and discovered the Mornington Peninsula in 2004 when purchasing a holiday home as an investment. In 2006, Blue Moon Cottages was purchased and a group of four cottages formed the core of the business. Since then, more accommodation was added and we now have a portfolio of more than 40 properties. Their Mornington Peninsula knowledge comes from living on the peninsula since 2008, and working closely with Tourism Victoria and Mornington Peninsula Tourism has built an award-winning tourism business. They are both “hands on” in the business ensuring both guests and owners are provided with attention to detail at every level.

Property information

Longer stay discounts available for direct bookings. The property is vast so with our two families we have space on both levels and everyone is happy. In winter we snuggle up in front of the fire and head to the Peninsula Hot Springs for relaxing bathing. On summer nights we sit on the balcony or under the verandah and drink to being in the best holiday spot. It is sooooo close to the beach - it's easy to pack up the kids and head over anytime for a dip. Included in your package is a bottle of sparkling wine and small local produce hamper for you to enjoy. Please note there is an intercom with camera. PAWfect If you are small or old like me then you will probably be fine but if you are a big WOOFER then its not the house for you. I love the grass in the back garden and the shady spots on the verandah. I can walk to the beach YAY!

Neighbourhood information

we can walk across the road to the pristine beach to sunbake on the sand and dip our toes into the ocean. And at night we stroll metres to the vibrant cafes and restaurants of Dromana. We love being in the centre of things but it's only a few minutes drive to the wineries of Red Hill or the market town of Mornington. Our favourite spot for breakfast is in the quieter back area of Dromana at Wombat Cafe but we do love the Laneway Espresso.

Need-to-know information for guests at this property

Please note that there is a 1.7% charge when you pay with a Visa or MasterCard and 3.42% for American Express. A 50% deposit needs to be paid within 48 hours of booking, and the balance at least 30 days in advance of the arrival date via credit card into the secure guest portal we provide or via BPAY. We will also require your direct email address, a photo of you holding your photo ID and a list of guest names and ages to be uploaded into the guest portal before your booking can be confirmed. Guests will receive our full terms and conditions upon booking and payment of monies will constitute agreement to these terms and conditions.
