The property was spotlessly clean and tidy. It is in close proximity to cafes, the rivulet walk (where we saw a platypus playing) and town. There was fresh sourdough, eggs, avocado, lemons/grapefruit, homemade jam and butter provided by the host...

Friendly hosts that provided fresh bread and produce from their garden. A quick walk from the Rivulet where we spent Dawn and dusk trying to spot platypus.

This place is a little gem. Close enough to everything you need while far enough not to feel like you are in the bustle of the city. Hilary was so accommodating and the place cosy and historic. We would definitely stay again. Thank you for...

Welcome to this charming converted stable from the 1840s, Its prime location offers convenient access to the city, and it boasts breathtaking views of kunanyi/Mt Wellington. Step inside and be greeted by a warm and inviting interior, bathed in the enchanting winter light. The stunning sandstone structure proudly preserves the craftsmanship of the convicts who built it, while the interior has been tastefully updated with a touch of nostalgic charm. Look forward to meeting you soon.
Moving from Sydney in 2018, we are loving the slower pace of life, having more time for people, the excellent food and the great outdoors. We love nothing better than an adventure or two, whether its in our own backyard, travelling around the outback or overseas, as long as its outside we are on board, bush walking, cycling, kayaking. We are still getting to know our new home and looking forward to discovering all it has to offer and sharing it with our guests. As we continue to discover Tasmania, we eagerly anticipate uncovering its hidden gems and sharing these discoveries with our guests. The stables is at the rear of our house and we are usually present and available to assist with any needs you may have. Whether it's providing recommendations for local coffee spots or suggesting sightseeing destinations, we are here to ensure your stay is as delightful as possible.
South Hobart is a lovely small village with lots of excellent cafes, restaurants, and a great small grocer and an excellent traditional butcher . We are right in the heart of the South Hobart village, with a wonderful cafe directly opposite, and the best deli/supermarket a 2 minute walk. Our property is also walking distance to the city and the waterfront or you can catch a bus right outside the front door. The Hobart rivulet track is just across the road and makes a very pleasant stroll or bike ride in to town. You can catch the 446, 447 or 449 bus from the city. The bus stop is just one house up the street. Catching the bus back into the city, there is a bus stop opposite or a lovely walk along the rivulet will take about 15 minutes.
