Located in the picturesque village of Glenlyon just 10 minutes from Daylesford, Morton House is your dream regional retreat. With two levels featuring 4 bedrooms, queen with en-suite, double bedroom and a single bedroom. This 2-bathroom property also has a sofa bed in a completely separate room off the main lounge room. Full kitchen, 8 seater dining table, Smart TV, wifi, with wood fire and air conditioning, all to keep you entertained and comfortable all year around. 3 bedrooms upstairs, 1 bedroom downstairs. Outside we have a wonderful entertaining area complete with BBQ – 6-seater outdoor dining, huge umbrella to keep you cool on the warm days and heaps and heaps of room for the kids to run around. The Daylesford-Hepburn Region is famous for its mineral waters and is known as the Spa Centre of Australia. Our beautiful scenery includes the famous Lake Daylesford, the Wombat Hill Botanic Gardens and the Wombat State Forest. There are historic buildings in the main street of Daylesford and the region’s history lies in the rush for gold. Lake Daylesford now covers land upon which gold was first discovered and offers lakeside picnic spots, cafes, walking tracks, fishing and pedal boating. The internationally known Lake House sits on its shores and there are public BBQ facilities and amenities adjacent to the main parking area. Lake Jubilee is located south of Daylesford (about a 10-15 minute drive) and is ideal for fishing, boating and swimming. If you are looking for a waterfall, visit Sailor’s Falls, less than 30 minutes south from the Daylesford Town Centre. If you are into the outdoors, Daylesford sits at the junction of three walking trails that are part of the Great Dividing Trail – the Lerderderg Track, the Dry Diggings Track and the Wallaby Track. The Hepburn Regional Park is a little less challenging and contains mineral springs and relics of the bygone gold era.
