The proprietors/owners of Cove Landing are Susan Craig and Mark Simpkin. Both Susan and Mark have held special individual and joint connections with Kangaroo Island and have operated their own individual businesses nationally and internationally for three decades, prior to creating the Cove Landing Marina Apartment Project.

Cove Landing Marina Apartments, Christmas Cove, Penneshaw Kangaroo Island, is set to become home to much needed tourist accommodation, as construction is now complete on the Cove Landing Marina Apartments. The Cove Landing Marina Apartments offers accommodation for up to twelve (12) guests, six (6) bedrooms and four (4) bathrooms Or; Three (3) self-contained private apartments, accommodating four (4) guests each all with sensational views overlooking Backstairs Passage and the Christmas Cove Marina. Christmas Cove is steeped in maritime history and as such, each of the apartments will be named after vessels that have played their part in supporting Penneshaw and the Cove in the past; The SS Karatta, SS James Comrie, and the Lily May.

Penneshaw is a small coastal town located on Kangaroo Island, South Australia, at the eastern end of the island. It is the main ferry port for Kangaroo Island, serving as the primary gateway for visitors arriving by sea from Cape Jervis on the mainland. The town has a population of around 300-400 people, making it a quiet and peaceful community. The town has a rich history, with connections to early European settlement and exploration of Kangaroo Island. The nearby Frenchman's Rock commemorates the visit of French explorer Nicolas Baudin in 1803. Penneshaw is a popular entry point for tourists visiting Kangaroo Island. Visitors often explore the nearby Penneshaw Penguin Centre, where little penguins can be observed at night.
