Although it looked small it was a perfect size for 2 people, very bright with lots of windows using the fire pit and being able to see the stars was a great bonus
  • Lisa

The location was great. Loved having a Nespesso coffee machine and quality fixtures and appliances. It was nice to have some basic kitchen supplies (salt, pepper, oil, alfoil etc).

The Pink Lake Tiny Houses are the only tiny houses located next to a pink lake in all of Australia and possibly the world. 'Peony' is the largest tiny house on wheels in the pink lake tiny house portfolio. A uniquely, custom-built, eco-friendly “tiny house”, situated directly across the road from South Australia’s most accessible and iconic pink lake - Lake Bumbunga, only 85 minutes drive from Adelaide. This tiny house is a fully self-contained accommodation facility, ensuring the guest's stay is both gentle on the planet and climate-friendly. Electrical power is generated through solar panels on the roof and then stored in a battery. Shower greywater is filtered and then waters a plant bed. Mains water and mains power are connected. Facilities: • Sleeps four people on a Queen-sized bed downstairs, two futon beds in a loft bedroom. • Kitchen: gas stovetop, refrigerator/freezer, microwave, pod coffee machine, kettle, rice cooker and cooking utensils. • Bathroom: shower with high quality shower gels, vanity-basin, mirror, hairdryer and bio-composing loo Outside: Patio deck with a view to the pink lake.
The Co-Owner, Michael is a professional host with over 30 years of experience in the International tourism industry. The property has many touches that guests appreciate. We receive five star ratings by guests for our customer service.
Directly across from the tiny house and within easy walking distance is the pink salt lake, Lake Bumbunga. Touring the surrounding area: The Clare Valley region, a short drive over the hills, is all about 'experiencing'. The area is known for its delectable wines - particularly 'Riesling' white wines and gourmet food. Visitors can hire a bike to cycle along the famous ‘Riesling Trail’, a 33km corridor, linking quaint towns, restaurants and wineries. If history intrigues, embark on a fascinating exploration into the lives of South Australia’s wealthy gentry during the late 1800s at majestic Martindale Hall near Mintaro, step back in time in Burra, famed for its copper mining heritage, or do a self-guided tour at Bungaree Station, the oldest family owned sheep station in South Australia. The Yorke Peninsula region, a short drive away, is a mecca for fishing, boating, surfing, swimming, and bushwalking along many kilometres of pristine coastline. Spend your day lounging on sandy-white beaches or splashing in crystal clear waters at Moonta Bay. Enjoy a seafood meal overlooking the sparkling sea, or quench your thirst at The Bond Store - local craft brewery & gin distillery
