Very beautiful building with some history, the rooms are well sized and laid out for the smaller size they are (bed and bathroom), but we didn't find ourselves fighting for room. The garden at the back is beautiful and very close to the beach and...

Fantastic room and great breakfast. A recurring theme in previous reviews was attention to detail and they were spot on. Everything was lovely.

Built in 1896, this historic Colonial Queenslander carries a charm about her that will have you feeling relaxed from the moment you walk onto the property. Currently available for stays are 2 beautifully decorated ensuite rooms. Triple room sleeping 2 adults & 1 child, queen bed + fold old single sofa or 3 adults,. The Queen deluxe, 2 adults, 1 x queen bed. Kitchenette in both rooms for basic tea and coffee, microwave and fridge, Bbq for cooking outside, utensils, plates cutlery provided in rooms. Beautiful, landscaped gardens give your rooms a cool shaded tropical feel with full access to roam around the area and explore the gardens with numerous fruit trees scattered throughout the property along with some chooks who provide us with eggs and love cuddles. The Emu Park Bowls club is 100 meters away, with beach access right next to Bowls club. There is an easy 10 min walk into the town centre of Emu Park following a pathway from the Bowls club into town Centre. Breakfast is included with stay, hosts cooking, at times there could just be a continental breakfast in your room on arrival with cold stuff in fridge, or there is a no breakfast option to the accommodation also.
We all love fishing and camping and have knowledge of the area to help guests enjoy their stay to the fullest. We are friendly and approachable but have full respect for the privacy of our guests aswell. He is tall, I'm short, and Remy is our son. we love a good laugh because life is too short, not too. There are pet chooks on the property who are friendly and love cuddles and, in return, give us the best tasting eggs in Emu Park, which you get to experience through one of the breakfast choices. In a nutshell, we are here doing what we love and sharing our little piece of paradise with the rest of the world.
Ribbonwood accommodation is found on the northern side of Emu Park in a quiet residential area, so we do ask that noise be kept to a minimum past 10pm, walking tracks around the area take you into town with an easy 10min walk, beautiful parklands around the area with beach access100 meters away, the famous Singing Ship is a beautiful spot to explore with a lovely walkway highlighting Emu Parks history with the Anzacs. Markets are on at Bell Park on the 3rd Sunday of every month, the biggest on the Capricorn coast, which makes for a wonderful morning exploring the area. If you after some day trip ideas we are more than happy to recommend the many different activities our region has to offer even helping to book activities if needed.
