Featuring one of West Australia's most unique island getaways, the Stay Rottnest's check in office is just a 2-minute walk from the Rottnest Island Main Jetty, which provides ferry services to and from Fremantle and Perth. The ferry to the island takes approximately 30 minutes. Surrounded by crystal-clear blue waters and white sand beaches, Rottnest Island is 7 miles long, and 2.5 miles at its widest point. It is located 12 miles west of Perth.

Please note that this property is not located on the mainland. You need to take a ferry to Rottnest Island. Your ferry journey must be organized separately.

Vehicles are not permitted on Rottnest Island. Bicycles are the main form of transport and are available to hire on the Island. Short-term and long-term car parking options are available at the ferry terminals.

Guests must check in at the Visitor Center which is located at the end of the Main Jetty in Thomson Bay. This is the check-in point for the Rottnest Island Authority accommodations. A welcome pack will be sent to visitors 2 weeks prior to their stay, providing all the details needed for check-in.

The cabins are located within the Thompson Bay area (off Gem Road) next to the camping ground and BBQ facilities.

Folder beds and cots are available for hire by contacting Rottnest Reservations at least 48 hours prior to your arrival.

Please note that the hostel has a no-alcohol policy.

The fee for bed linen includes sheets, pillow case and bath towel. Different bedding configuration is available upon request and subject to availability, please communicate with the property in advance using the 'Special Requests Box'.

Please note that the property does maintenance/planned works each year from May to September, and guests may experience some noise disturbances during these months. For more information about maintenance/planned works during your stay please contact Rottnest Reservations
