Company information

Our mission is to help more people get to nature, more often. Our intentionally designed cabins hidden in uniquely secluded and immersive off grid locations, all no more than 3hrs drive from your city, help you access the benefits of nature, easily, conveniently and comfortably when you need them most. We believe nature's the answer to most of modern life's problems. This whole thing's our attempt to see if you believe that too.

Property information

A short drive from Melbourne but a world away from the incessant ding of emails, Marcel is an easily accessible, yet secluded retreat surrounded by gums and your own private swimming hole. There's a 100m hike from the car park to the cabin. Luggage wheelbarrows provided. Check in 3pm Late check out at 11am Because, sleep-ins. Environmentally sensitive site. No pets, sorry. The experience is curated to help you slow down, be mindful and reconnect with nature. Each step, from where you park your car and the walk along the path to the cabin, to hand-grinding your (single origin) coffee beans in the morning, our Field Guide, collection of cassette tapes and more, is designed to transform what’s normally routine into a ritual and help you fully switch off. The cabin is designed to make you feel in the landscape, not on it. With oversized windows, a luxury queen bed, a 2-burner gas stove, mini-fridge, kitchen specced by famous chefs and a private bathroom with hot shower, you’ll have everything you need and nothing you don’t. Before your stay, you’ll receive a digital Field Guide with everything you need to find your cabin and settle in. Our cabins are self check-in. When you arrive, park at the allocated carpark with your cabin’s name, throw your pack on your back or grab a luggage trolley, and follow the marked path to your cabin. Make sure to pack sensible footwear for the walk to the cabin, as well as wet weather gear in case the forecast shifts. This spot requires a hike from the parking area, so having comfortable, weather-appropriate clothing for all seasons will help you make the most of your time in nature. Take the walk slow, breathe it in, and enjoy the view.

Neighbourhood information

Most of the property you are visiting is held in a Nature Trust which abounds in native flora and fauna. Keep your eyes peeled for orchids, lilies, mobs of kangaroos leaping through and more. Or plunge into the dam in front of the cabin to cool off. Serious face time: from November to May this region usually enters a Fire Danger Period. That means no camp fires at your cabin during this time. Please be super aware and stay safe. There is risk of a fine. These dates are subject to change. This is an off grid experience. What does that mean? There is a walk from the car to the cabin, pack light (we provide a cart to help). There’s no-one to deliver TP if you run out. And there could be a bug or two around. What else does it mean? You’ll feel a million miles away but can get there in a short drive. You’ll have next level nature and no-one to share it with. You’ll have a curated experience to help you slow down and disconnect unlike any other out there. We hope you enjoy it. Since Day 1 it’s always been about nature for us, we hope we can help you find what you’re looking for out there. "Of all the paths you take, make sure some of them are dirt" JM
