Signal Box short stay is a unique rammed earth space with walls 300 mm thick and double glazed windows. The apartment is designed to give privacy, rest and recreation to couples. Two rooms with en-suite are available - Garden view and Puffing Billy view. One room has wood fire heating and expansive views over mountains and farmlands; the other has split system and overlooks landscaped garden. Signal Box ensures a stay very different from other B&B's. The all new Signal Box short stay is designed for couples who wish to celebrate a special event, or attend a function. The rooms have tea/coffee preparation and a fridge. A fruit bowl and snack is provided. but no cooking facilities. Quality breakfast places are available within walking distance; or 10 minutes drive. Electric vehicle charging for guests is available. The building is fully sustainable with solar PV and battery, own water supply and composting of food waste.

Puffing Billy steam train; amazing views over farms and mountains; wineries; forests; small towns with terrific food and just one hour from the sea. The Eastern Dandenong Ranges Trail now links Gembrook and Emerald. This is suited to walkers, bikes and wheelchairs. Buses run every hour so its easy to walk one way to Emerald Lake Park and come back by bus. With a little timing, walk / bus / Puffing Billy present options for an enjoyable day.
