The Bay Rose is a homely, period Victorian Cottage set in lush and private grounds. It has been refurbished with an eye for detail with ceiling fans in all bedrooms and heating and air conditioning. Creating the ambience of yesteryear, the Bay Rose provides a wonderful base for exploring Forrest and its beautiful natural environment. It is housed in secluded gardens with ample room for children to roam safely. It is in a fantastic central position, minutes walk away to the Forrest General Store, Forrest Brewery and the mountain bike trails, yet is tucked away from the busy main road. Steeped in local history and native flora and fauna, treat yourself to a peaceful step back in time.
Leonie has restored numerous period homes and enjoys preserving elements of the home's history with an eclectic touch. She is easy to communicate with and flexible with arrangements. She would like guests to treat the home as they would their own, whilst staying there.
The neighbourhood is in the heart of a residential village in the Otways. It has a rich history in logging and hop picking and is now known globally for its mountain bike trails. It is 35 minutes from Apollo Bay and Lorne on the Great Ocean Road and makes for a unique holiday stay to explore the area. The magnificent Lake Elizabeth is a 5 min drive away with Stephenson's and Hopetoun Falls nearby.
