The thoughtful little extras such as the ingredients to bake our own bread, pre cocktails on arrival and fresh eggs & butter. Clean, cosy and well appointed- these hosts have thought of everything!

An eclectic mix of modern & contemporary and vintage. The building itself was just gorgeous and then the way the owners have repurposed, reinvented and styled the entire property was just outstanding. Beautiful, quirky, surprised, intriguing and...

Everything was on point. Little touches made our stay inviting and luxurious. We made 3 loaves of bread in the bread maker and drank silky smooth hot chocolate in locally made mugs. The local pub is 100m down the road with a range of micro...

The Post Office transports you to another time and place, our heritage-listed accomodation is the heart of the beautiful town of Waratah. Opposite the Waratah Waterfall, The Post Office offers views of Mount Pearce and the expansive Happy Valley, which stretches out into the Tarkine wilderness. Waratah is nestled in a wilderness-rich pocket of Tasmania's North West and is the perfect base from which to explore the Cradle Mountain-Lake St Clair National Park and the ancient Tarkine wilderness.
Hello, I’m Madeleine. I live in southern Tasmania. I am a passionate cook and love to dabble in interior and floral styling. When I’m not working, you’ll find me in our garden or wandering through an antique shop. I am forever looking for that special piece! One of our favourite things to do as a family is to pack the car and go away for the weekend. We have been fortunate to stay at many beautiful properties over the years and it’s been a dream to create and host a home of our own. We are contactable via airbnb during your stay.
Waratah is a small country town right on the edge of the Tarkine wilderness with a waterfall at it's centre. It's the perfect base from which to explore Tasmania's western wilderness attractions. The town is peaceful and quiet and can easily be explored on foot, with the beautiful Lake Waratah and Ringtail Falls as well as the abandoned Waratah Power Station also within walking distance. You will need need your own transport on the west coast of Tasmania. There is ample parking and it's free.
