We both grew up in Melbourne but now reside in Gippsland. It is a lovely part of regional Victoria. Mark is now retired from working in the timber industry and I am a retired secondary school teacher in art and work as a potter and glass artist.
We have 3 adult children and I suppose you call would call us empty nesters.
We enjoy renovating properties and gardening, visiting art galleries and travel, locally, across Australia and overseas.
We are contactable via mobile during your stay.
There are lots of things to do in Walhalla. Take a stroll down the main street and enjoy a coffee and the historic buildings. Visit the local gold mine for a tour or take a train ride on the Walhalla Goldfields railway line. There are many bush walks in the area and you can also walk to the cricket ground on a hill above the town. Visiting the local cemetery is a must see. Walhalla is a great place to unwind and relax and step back in time.
Please note there is only mobile reception for Telstra customers. If you require data when you are here then consider buying a Telstra sim card to use on your phone.
There is no petrol station in Walhalla. You will need a car.
