With a small, friendly population of just a few hundred residents, Beechwood provides the perfect escape from the hustle and bustle while still being conveniently located only 10 minutes from Wauchope and 30 minutes from Port Macquarie’s stunning beaches and vibrant town centre. Set on a spacious, picturesque property, The Shed at Beechwood is designed for comfort and relaxation, surrounded by lush countryside, fresh air, and the soothing sounds of nature. Whether you’re unwinding on the veranda, exploring the scenic surroundings, or simply enjoying the peace and quiet, our accommodation provides the ideal setting for a rejuvenating getaway. Perfect for couples, or solo travelers, The Shed at Beechwood is your home away from home—where the country meets comfort.
We are pleased to offer our guests fresh eggs from our chickens. If you’d like to visit the chickens, we have provided chook feed so you can say hello and give them a treat. To access the chicken area, please use the small gate behind the property and ensure it is closed securely to prevent our beloved pets from wandering in. Our two friendly dogs, Maple (groodle) and her little sister Billie (cavoodle), love meeting new guests. They are very gentle and enjoy a pat, so feel free to say hello—they are not aggressive in any way.
Local Attractions: 1. Bago Maze & Winery (near Wauchope) – Home to one of the world's largest hedge mazes, this winery offers stunning views, local wines, and live jazz events. 2. Koala Conservation Wild Breeding Visitor Centre - Guulabaa – Place of Koala, located in the Cowarra State Forest near Port Macquarie. This world-first facility focuses on breeding wild koalas in natural enclosures, aiming to bolster the species' population and genetic diversity.
